Centre Director - Apollo
Lynne is a seasoned educational professional with 27 years in Primary Education through to Deputy Principal level and has been a Lollipops Centre Director since 2008, setting up and managing 3 large centres.
CentreLynne set up and managed Lollipops state of the art Highbrook Centre with 150 children, and also established their centre at Half Moon Bay with 100 children before coming to Albany at the beginning of 2012 which has seen that centre restored and now flourishing. My profession has always been in Education. I am very passionate about learning and providing children with experiences that will teach them skills in order to become competent, life long learners. I truly believe that children need to be respected and cared for with the same degree of respect that ideally we would give to adults. Hence, I have a passion for the RIE, Reggio and Pikler philosophy and feel that providing quality care and nurture for young children is extremely important. As an educator, I am committed to empowering and supporting children and their families in the transition to school process. I believe children need to experience new challenges, co-operative ventures and have the opportunity to be part of longer term projects.
Assistant Manager - Apollo
I am originally from China and moved to this beautiful country in 2000. I am a New Zealand trained, qualified and fully registered ECE teacher who also has a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management. I have been teaching a variety of age groups for nearly ten years and have also been in a leadership role for many years. I enjoy every single day of teaching and it is a privilege to be part of the children’s learning journey.
I am inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, RIE and Pikler philosophy. I see myself as a facilitator who is working and exploring alongside the children to support them to become competent and confident individuals.
I am a target pistol shooter and very proud to be part of the New Zealand high performance team and won the silver medal from the Oceania Championship in 2013. I am married to a kiwi and we now have a son Sebastian who is one years old.
I look forward to meeting you and becoming part of your child/ren’s learning journey.
